The Challenge

A U.S.-based bakery that ships pastries around around the world wanted to raise awareness for its assortment of baked goods, drive more in-store and online traffic, and improve online conversions, because many customers were abandoning the cart before completing a purchase.

The Goal

Increase website traffic, in-store visits, and online sales.

The Solution

We developed a content and SEO strategy around trending industry topics to increase organic traffic and spread brand awareness. Then we built a content calendar and helped the bakery publish articles around these new topics.

To boost in-store foot traffic, we used our local presence management (LPM) platform. Following Google My Business best practices, we optimized all of the bakery’s storefront listings to capture customers’ attention while searching online.

To combat the abandoned-cart problems, we added a guest checkout option that allowed new users to buy pastries without having to set up an account, as well as a value badge that read “Flat Rate Fresh Ship Guarantee” to instill consumer confidence.

The Results

With our help, the bakery continues to publish strategic content, resulting in thousands of new website sessions. Due to the success of the A/B test, updates to the cart became permanent and continue to drive online sales.
